AppTek's Dr. Volker Steinbiss will be presenting at this year's Languages & The Media Virtual Conference both Wednesday 22nd September at 2pm CEST, where he will offer a deeper dive into machine learning and machine translation applied to audiovisual localization including insights on how far a machine can get without truly understanding language, and then again on Friday 24th September at 4:30pm CEST for an Industry Roundtable, where he will join Amanda Smith of Discovery, Wayne Garb of OOONA, Mark Howorth of Iyuno and Chair Yota Georgakopoulou to exchange ideas, concerns and questions surrounding the sustainability of the industry to the benefit of all stakeholders.
